Dr Naseem Ebrahim Motala qualified as a Medical Doctor at the University of Witwatersrand in 2003. He then completed his internship (housemanship) at the Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto after which he conducted his community service at Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg. Subsequent to this he furthered his training for another 4 years at the University of Witwatersrand to qualify as a Specialist Physician in Internal Medicine in 2011. He then furthered his training in the field of Gastroenterology (for two years) with training at Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria qualifying as a Sub-specialist (Super Specialist) Gastroenterologist in 2013.
Dr Motala has been in Private Practice since 2011 at both the Linksfield and Parklane Clinics, and has extensive experience in the field of Gastroenterological Illnesses and therapeutic intervention including, Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and Endoscopy Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography. Other interventional and diagnostic procedures including Video Capsule Endoscopy, Oesophageal pH, Oesophageal Manometry and Endoscopic Ultrasound are also within the field of his specialisation.
